The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has released information about a fatal fire last week in the Town of Union.
According to the sheriff’s office, 86-year-old Joyce E. Bassos was killed in the fire on Hill Avenue in Union.
The fire occurred at around 1 am on Wednesday, April 22nd.
There were no other people inside the home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters from Union center, Endwell, West Corners, Maine and Vestal responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
