A construction project on a new visitor center at the Elmira Civil War Prison Camp suffered a setback on Tuesday.
The structure on Winsor Avenue in Elmira partially collapsed just before 7 pm.
According to WENY-TV, no workers were on site at the time of the collapse.
Officials believe a thunderstorm with strong winds was a factor in the incident.
Work began in March on the new visitor center with the hopes of completing the project in July.
The collapse is expected to push back the project by a few weeks.
