The company that was looking to bring an outpatient mental health facility to Towanda is now looking for a new location.
According to the Morning Times, Attuned Counseling and Trauma Therapy is no longer looking to bring a facility to Towanda after the borough’s planning commission rejected the proposal last week.
While the company could still move forward with their plans at 12 Walnut Street in Towanda because the planning commission is only an advisory board, the owners said they are looking for a new location.
The company, which has facilities in Athens and Mansfield, could now look to open one across the border in New York.
Waverly and Elmira could be possibilities for a new location.
