The New York State Police have released the identity of the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Cortland last weekend.
According to police, 26-year-old Christopher D. Messerlie of Watertown was killed in the accident on Saturday.
The victim was driving south on Interstate 81 in Cortland when he went off the roadway and hit a guard rail.
Messerlie was pronounced dead at the scene.
