Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham is looking to expand the School Resource Officer program in the Binghamton City School District.
The plan is to add one more officer to be shared among Binghamton’s elementary schools.
There are already three officers that serve at Binghamton High School and its middle schools.
The school district requested the new officer for the elementary schools and it is being supported by the mayor’s office.
