Tompkins County man facing felony drug, weapon charges

A Tompkins County man is facing several felony charges following a search of his apartment.

According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Jimmy Lee Harris has been charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Police searched Harris’ apartment in Lansing and allegedly found 111 grams of suspected fentanyl, 31 grams of cocaine and a handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

Harris was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
