A Chemung County Grand Jury has indicted a 26-year-old man for the attempted rape of a child.
According to the Chemung County District Attorney’s office, Jared Mullen has been charged with two counts of attempted rape, attempted sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Mullen allegedly attempted to sexually assault a 13-year-old at a home in the City of Elmira on July 24.
Mullen was remanded to the Chemung County Jail.
