Towanda School Board approves new elementary principal

The Towanda School Board has approved a long-time teacher to be the next Towanda Elementary School principal.

Clayton Weaver will be taking over for Dr. Laura Steele, who announced her upcoming retirement after last school year.

Weaver has spent 20 years as a teacher in the school district. He also served as assistant high school principal last year.

Steele will be helping out the district with speech therapy and other needs until Dec. 23rd.

Rachel Finogle will serve as Weaver’s assistant principal at the Towanda Elementary School.
