Tioga County voters can cast their ballots early for the November 3rd general election during a nine-day period beginning Saturday, October 24th.

The county Board of Elections says its one early-voting center will be at the Health and Human Services Building, 1062 State Route 38 in Owego. The site is accessible under ADA guidelines.

The center will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 24th, and Sunday, October 25th. Hours shift to noon through 8:00 PM on Monday, October 26th, and Tuesday, October 27th. Voting returns to 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM each day from Wednesday, October 28th, through Sunday, November 1st.

Early voting is available to any eligible Tioga County voter, and no reason is required. Voters may use any of the listed sessions; they are not limited to a particular day. Voters who cast a ballot during the early-voting period cannot vote again on Election Day.

The registration deadline for the November election is October 24th. Residents can check their registration status and assigned Election Day polling place through the New York State voter lookup service.

The Tioga County Board of Elections website also has sample ballots, a list of candidates and offices on the ballot, the complete early-voting schedule and information about mail ballots. Election Day voting will run from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Questions can be directed to the Board of Elections at 607-687-8261 during weekday office hours. The county recommends reviewing its current election information before visiting so voters have the latest schedule and ballot details.
