An Elmira teen is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at another teen and threatening to kill them.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, a school resource officer at the Alternative High School at GST Boces Bush Campus in Horseheads reported the incident.
The threat to the other teen happened on the morning of April 15th, but the sheriff’s office did not say where it took place.
There was no threat to the school campus related to the incident.
Elmira Police recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun at the home of the suspect.
The 17-year-old, who has not been identified, has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and fourth degree, menacing in the second degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
The teen was arraigned and released.
