The 2016 Lights on the River Festival in Owego is today! The event runs from 4pm-8pm. There will be numerous musicians performing throughout the Village at various locations tonight, as well as, wandering entertainment. Santa will roll into town at 6pm to turn on the Village of Owego’s holiday lights. And then at 8pm, the annual Lights on the River fireworks display will light up the night sky over the Susquehanna River near the Court Street Bridge. Numerous roads will be closed in the Village from 4pm until 9pm as a result of the festival. If you’re travelling through the downtown area, you must find an alternate route.
