Tioga Downs will open its 11th season of harness racing this Saturday at the race track in the Town of Nichols. Post time is set for 5 p.m. Saturday … the first live harness race of the season at Tioga Downs, which not only including racing but musical and other entertainment through Labor Day. Opening day at Tioga Downs, which also includes live music and fireworks, runs side by side with the Kentucky Derby, also on Saturday. Besides harness racing, Tioga Downs is also a popular venue for summer concerts. On the live music stage this year are KC and the Sunshine Band on July 9th, Grand Funk Railroad on August 13th and Kenny Rogers with a farewell concert on Labor Day weekend.
