After it was reported by on Wednesday that a Whitney Point man had made 48 false reports of child abuse from September through February, officials are now saying that 35 additional false claims were made from the same location. 43-year-old Harry Clauson was arrested by State Police after making false reports of child abuse, and in some cases, falsely using individuals’ names to make the reports without their knowledge. Now police say that 83 total calls to the child abuse hotline came from the location where Clauson made his calls. The suspect in the other 35 calls has reportedly not been charged. Clauson has been sent to the Broome County jail on $1,000 cash bail.
