A pretrial hearing was held for the man charged with the intentional killing of New York State Trooper Christopher Skinner in May of 2014. 62-year-old Almond Upton of Florida is accused of intentionally hitting Trooper Skinner with his vehicle while Skinner was conducting a roadside traffic stop on I-81 in the Town of Chenango. During yesterday’s pretrial hearing, four New York State Troopers and three New York State Police Investigators testified, each providing a different insight to the case. Upton is now scheduled to go to trial on July 5th.
