Parts of Tioga and Broome counties are without power following an outage shortly after nine o’clock. NYSEG is reporting 185 outages in Tioga County with over 6,000 outages in Broome. The outages in Broome County are mainly affecting Johnson City, Maine, Union, and Nanticoke, with outages in Tioga County mostly just in Newark Valley. Power is expected to be restored shortly after noon today. The outages caused a loss of traffic signals and Johnson City police were directing traffic at some intersections in the village.
