A man from Newark Valley has been arrested after police found a dead woman at the Skylark Motel in Vestal early last month. An autopsy of the deceased woman revealed that she died of a drug overdose. Police say that 65-year-old Raymond Ellis Sr. of Newark Valley sold the woman the narcotics. Ellis was arrested on a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance. He has since been arraigned and sent to the Broome County Jail.
