A small plane made an emergency landing in the Town of Chenango. Troopers responded Tuesday to an open field adjacent to Mix Road. They say 62-year-old John Sherman of Lisle was flying his single engine experimental Cub from Chenango Bridge to Georgetown, New York when the plane’s engine started to fail. He landed safely in the field without injuring himself. The plane’s propeller was damaged. Crews contacted the Federal Aviation Administration. Sherman towed the aircraft away.
