A woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after falling asleep at the wheel, and subsequently rolling her car. 19-year-old Kelsey Franks of Chenango rolled her car on West Chenango Road just before 11:30 Tuesday morning. Franks fell asleep behind the wheel when she was driving east on the road, according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. Franks attempted to pull back into her lane when she over corrected and slid across the oncoming lane before hitting an embankment. She was taken to Wilson Hospital with minor injuries.
