A Chenango Forks man has been arrested for rape following an alleged incident last weekend.
According to the New York State Police, 44-year-old Jason Marsh has been charged with rape in the first degree, a Class B felony, along with misdemeanor counts of criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment.
The incident allegedly occurred on Sunday, May 17 in the Town of Greene.
Marsh is accused of forcibly sexually assaulting a victim before hitting and choking them when they tried to leave.
Police found Marsh at his home, where he was arrested and taken to the Chenango County Jail.
