New York would receive at least $819 million under a multistate settlement with Meta that remains subject to court approval. Attorney General Letitia James says the nationwide agreement could total $17.1 billion. It would also require age checks, daily time limits for minors on Facebook and Instagram, overnight lockouts and parental approval before those restrictions could be disabled.
