The new Perkins restaurant in Apalachin is officially open, as of 6 o’clock this morning. The restaurant, on 434, employs 100 people, and is owned by Rajumaanar Enterprises Corporation. Company President Beth Ann Smith says they flew in Perkins employees from Wisconsin, Georgia and Florida to train the new staff. The franchise hopes to bring consistent food and service to the area under a national brand name well known for doing so. The restaurant is open 24/7.
