The burglary was recorded by video surveillance and the Sheriff’s Office received several valuable tips from the public after posting the footage to Facebook. Tracy Jordan of Candor was also arrested after being located along with Merrill. Jordan was found to be wanted on arrest warrants issued by the Tioga County Family Court and the Elmira Police Department. Merrill was arraigned in the Candor Village Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail with no bail.
