33-year-old Matthew Williams of Candor has been sentenced to six years in prison with ten years of post-release probation for sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl. Williams was found guilty in Tompkins County Court last May. He had purchased wine coolers for two twelve-year-olds and drove them to a secluded area of Danby State Forest in June of 2016. He sexually abused one of the teens. The girls locked Williams out of the truck and later escaped. They were located the following morning.
