Tioga County is busy with several different economic development projects. LeeAnn Tinney, the county’s Director of Economic Development & Planning, was a guest on today’s WEBO Morning Show. Tinney gave us an update on the timeline for the Tioga Downs expansion project. She also noted that Crown Cork and Seal is another major economic development project for the county. The new can packaging facility is being built near the Best Buy Distribution Center in Nichols. Fed-Ex is also building a facility in Nichols. Construction on the Owego Gardens senior housing complex, which held a groundbreaking last Friday, is continuing. All four of these projects are expected to be completed in 2016 or early 2017.
