A Binghamton man is dead after he was struck by a stray bullet at the Town & Country Housing Complex on Monday evening.
According to WBNG-TV, officers from the Binghamton Police Department responded to the complex on Roberts Street at around 10:18 p.m. on Monday for a report of a man with a gunshot wound.
Officers located an injured male and attempted life-saving measures, but 41-year-old Tyrell Norris did not survive.
Police said Norris was not involved in the shooting but was struck by a stray bullet in his home.
A 21-year-old man was also injured in the incident. He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his foot.
Police said the shooting occurred in a parking lot at 100 Roberts Street. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
