Adam Foster has been released from jail in the United Arab Emirates.
The Schuyler County man was detained for allegedly stealing handcuffs.
UAE police found the handcuffs in his luggage at the airport as he tried to leave the country in February.
Police say the handcuffs were stolen.
Foster says he found them on the ground and wanted to keep them as a souvenir.
He was sentenced to 30 days in jail last month despite facing a sentence of up to seven years.
