A Binghamton bar that’s been the site of several crimes will remain shut down through the end of September. The Rock B. Tavern has reached a settlement with the city that forces it to remain closed until September 30th. For eight months following that, it will have to close early each night of the week. Back in September of 2012, a man was shot to death on Conklin Avenue outside of the Rock B. Tavern. The city says that was one of many violent incidents that led it to the shut down. In May, the bar was cited for violating the city’s nuisance law and ordered to close.
