Binghamton Police have charged a 17-year-old from Brooklyn with attempted murder after a shooting on Wednesday. Dajhoun Perez was arraigned in Binghamton City Court on two counts of attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon. Perez reportedly got into an argument with the 21-year-old victim at 4 Roberts Street in Binghamton before the shooting took place. Police and SWAT responded Wednesday just after 1 PM. Perez allegedly fired at least three shots from a 40-caliber handgun. The victim was taken to Wilson Hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. Perez was taken to the Broome County Jail without bail as he awaits his next court appearance.
