Willow Point Nursing Home was a hot topic during the last election, but Thursday, all lawmakers in Broome County agreed on a resolution concerning the senior living facility. The Broome County Legislature voted unanimously to contract a consulting firm to aid the County in developing a comprehensive plan for Willow Point. Toski & Co., a CPA firm based in Williamsville, New York, will be paid a sum of $100,500 for its work. The resolution comes on the heels of a recommendation by the Broome County Sell/Lease Taskforce to see how the nursing home can provide the best services for the lowest cost in the long-term. Contracting of more services and even a possible sale have been discussed in the past regarding Willow Point. The county executive says those questions will hopefully be answered by this study.
