President Barack Obama is making a swing through New York State next week. White House officials say he’s coming through New York and Pennsylvania on a two-day bus tour. According to a source, the president is going to visit the Syracuse, Binghamton, Buffalo and Scranton areas. Obama will “discuss another cornerstone of his vision for a better bargain for the middle class.” The tour is also meant to help Obama lay the groundwork for the fall debate with Congress over the budget. Obama has made frequent stops to Upstate New York during his presidency. He has traveled to Buffalo and seems to have a special affinity for the Capital Region, making stops at General Electric in Schenectady, Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, and the nanotech center in Albany.
