State troopers say two people were killed after a deadly accident in Broome County. It happened along State Route 26 in Glen Aubrey around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to investigators, 34-year-old Bhrett Berg from Johnson City crossed into the opposite lane while going around a curve. His car hit a S-U-V. Berg and 49-year-old Michael Smith from Homer were pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Gail Renninger-Smith was taken to nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
