Police in Binghamton are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday night. Just before 10 o’clock, police responded to the Alaska Mart at 254 Chenango Street in Binghamton. The perpetrator was armed with a knife and is being described as a black male between the ages of 25 and 30, five feet eight inches tall, with a medium build, and at the time of the robbery was wearing a black scarf. He was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at 772-7080.
