As the Town of Union is look into a variety of new uses for the former BAE site in Westover, one idea being considered is the construction of a solar power plant. Officials from ETM Solar Works made the proposal to the town. They say the solar plant would lower the cost of people’s energy bills in the area. Currently, the closest solar power plant to the Southern Tier is in Long Island.
