We now know the identity of the man killed in a Mygatt Street home in Binghamton. Police say 22-year-old Jordan Dordell, was found dead in the basement of the home after crews put out a second floor fire. Police say this is one of the most horrific crimes they have seen in years. They say the victims were viscously and savagely beaten with a blunt object, then stabbed over and over and over again. The assailants then attempted to set them on fire. Dordell and his 19-year-old pregnant girlfriend were brutally attacked sometime before Monday morning. Dordell was killed, but his girlfriend, who remains unidentified by authorities, managed to break out a basement window and get to a neighbor’s home to call for help. Despite being six months pregnant, both the woman and her baby are expected to survive. Now, investigators are putting together their case against the men accused in the brutal attack. Police have arrested 25-year-old Nigel Saunders and 21-year-old Julian Talamantaz, who allegedly forced their way into the home while the victims were asleep. Police believe the attackers knew at least one of the victims. The investigation in ongoing and police say they will not stop until their questions are answered.
