A Broome County man was arrested on assault charges. Authorities say Kyle Wood attacked two people with a samurai type sword on Colfax Avenue in Binghamton. One victim underwent surgery at Lourdes Hospital for injuries to his hand. Wood was arrested in Johnson City on two outstanding warrants for assault in the first and second degree.
