Binghamton Mayor-Elect Rich David is beginning to select is executive management team.
David announced on Monday he’s looking for applicants for his team. He laid out the jobs, from Secretary of the Corporation Counsel to city engineer. And he laid out the salaries, just over $30,000 to nearly $90,000. David says all department heads will need their resume handy.
David says there are certain positions he plans on changing, and those individuals will be notified this week, otherwise the remaining department heads, will be able to keep their jobs or apply for another positions if they so choose. David says he’s not looking to put political friends in office. Instead, he’s looking to build the best executive management team with the most qualified people. There may some holdovers from the previous administration or short term appointments while he continues his search, because he says he doesn’t want to rush the process of finding the best people for each job. David says he’s started meeting with the department heads and is now accepting resumes at his office on State Street.
