The Johnson City Holiday Parade will be taking place tonight for the 29th year. The parade starts at seven o’clock and takes off from Main Street and Lester Avenue and proceeds west on Main to Arch Street, before turning north to the Johnson City Senior Center. The parade will include the Johnson City and Chenango Forks marching bands, church groups, Boy and Girl scouts, fire trucks, antique cars, and other community-based groups. Parking will be prohibited on Main Street after 5:30, and the street will be closed to traffic starting at 6:45.
