After the Binghamton Police Department announced a $1,000 reward for any information related to a string of robberies in Broome County by suspects with similar descriptions, another robbery took place last night, possibly by one of the same suspects. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place last night in the Town of Fenton. Reports of the robbery at the Sunoco station at 1102 Chenango Street in Fenton came in around 11 o’clock. According to police, a man entered the store, pulled a knife on the clerk, and got away with an unknown amount of cash. The man is described as six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black ski mask, sunglasses, and black pants. Witnesses were not able to the see the direction in which the man fled. At this time, deputies do believe this robbery is associated with the other robberies in Binghamton and Johnson City. Anyone with further information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Detectives at 778-2053.
