The Roberson Museum and Science Center has been awarded a $500,000 state grant from the Regional Economic Development Council. The 60-year-old museum will use the money to improve their facilities, including its heating and air conditioning systems. Museum officials also say they hope to use some of the grant money to create new exhibits to attract more visitors to the area. The economic council still has to tell the museum specifically what the grant money can be spent on.
