The annual Christmas Day dinner made its return to the United Methodist Church in Owego after a two year hiatus from the church. This year marked the seventh year the church held a free Christmas Day dinner, but for the last two years the dinner had to be held at Tioga Opportunities. The dinner was able to be held in the church after Fellowship Hall received a brand new kitchen after the old kitchen, and much of the rest of the building, was damaged in the flood two years ago. Hundreds of guests were on-hand Christmas day for the meal. About 50 volunteers helped make the dinner happen, and food was prepared for up to 300 guests and home deliveries. There was also a free coat rack for those who needed a winter coat.
