Binghamton Mayor Rich David has initiated a wave of emergency pothole repairs across the city while the weather is temporarily warm. Potholes on Riverside Drive, Conklin Avenue, and Prospect Street are the main targets. The Department of Public Works is working with the Department of Transportation to address the condition of Prospect Street, and the DOT plans to mill the section from the interchange which is currently under construction, east to Mygatt Street today. They then plan to pave that section on Thursday. The city has also worked an agreement with the state’s DOT to have them continue to fill potholes all winter from Mygatt Street east to Front Street.
