Over the weekend, friends and family of Little Meadows’ former fire chief Charles Barnum gathered in Apalachin to bid him farewell. Barnum passed away last Sunday from complications with diabetes at just 38 years old. Barnum had served as the chief of the Little Meadows Volunteer Fire Company, and was also a worker at Lockheed Martin in Owego for 15 years.
