A Town of Union man has been arrested following a short car-pursuit and foot chase. A Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a pick-up truck after it didn’t stop at a stop sign, and the driver of the truck allegedly gave a fake name. When a second patrol car arrived on the scene, the driver of the truck sped away. Deputies chased 27-year-old David Wesser through the side streets of West Endicott, before he stopped at a dead end, got out of the truck, and was chased on foot until he was tasered by an Endicott Police officer. Further investigation showed that Wesser had an active warrant out of Johnson City for burglary in the third degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and sent to the Broome County Jail.
