A local youth football league is missing money from its bank account. The board of the Apalachin Youth Football League discovered the missing money in November. According to a media release, the board notified the New York State Police and the Tioga district attorney. It states the board is working with an attorney to determine the amount of money that’s missing and what legal options are available. The scope of the investigation reportedly includes members in leadership positions with access to the money. The board says it has taken steps to secure the AYFL account and will provide more information when the investigation is complete.
