A house fire in Binghamton Sunday night sent one woman to the hospital. Over twenty firefighters teamed up to put out an aggressive fire at 40-42 Bevier Street. The call for the fire came in around 7:30 Sunday night, and flames were reportedly shooting out of the roof. Two families were in the home when the fire first started. One of those families included a mother and her four children, and while the children were able to safely escape, the Binghamton Fire Department says that the mother had to be transported to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for what are being described now as minor injuries. The woman’s name has not been released. The American Red Cross is expected to aid in the recovery process, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
