A number of arrests were made on Tuesday night as Tioga County Sheriffs simultaneously executed two search warrants in the Village of Owego.
The warrants came as part of an ongoing investigation focused on the distribution and use of illegal drugs in Tioga County. Warrants were served at 75-77 North Avenue and 64 Spencer Avenue. 30-year-old Jennifer Charton and 21-year-old Dillon Steigler were charged with misdemeanor counts of loitering at 75-77 North Avenue, and 21-year-old Andrew Tucker was charged with criminal nuisance in the second degree, also a misdemeanor. All three were sent to the county jail on $1,000 bail or $5,000 bond. A 15-year-old female was also at the residence and was released to her mother.
At 64 Spencer Avenue, both 21-year-old Timothy Ryder and 18-year-old Dakota Steigler was arrested for loitering in the first degree, and they were also sent to the county jail on $1,000 bail or $5,000 bond. Also at 64 Spencer Avenue, the home’s residents, 46-year-old Alfred Thornton and 34-year-old Dorothy Thornton were arrested for criminal nuisance. All of those facing charges are set to appear in the Village of Owego Court next Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are pending.
