It was over twelve years ago that Michele Harris, wife of Cal Harris, went missing, seemingly without a trace. Cal Harris has been convicted of murder twice, had both convictions overturned on appeal, and now this fall will be facing a third murder trial, this time in Schoharie County, after a change of venue was approved. Cal and Michele had four children together, Cayla, Jenna, Taylor, and Tanner, and now Cal and his children are calling for the community’s help in finding more information on Michele’s disappearance. 18-year-old Cayla spoke at a press conference Wednesday about her and her sibling’s desire to know the truth.
Cal Harris also spoke to the media about the burden this case has put on his family, and struggled to fight back his emotions.
The Harris family has hired private investigators and former members of law enforcement in an attempt to find more information. They have set up a tip line for any information regarding Michele’s disappearance, and all information called in will remain confidential. According to Harris’s legal team, close to ten calls have already come in with various information. To reach the tip line, you can call 607-215-5166.
