The Johnson City Police Department is investigating a case of shots fired early this morning at a motel. According to emergency communications, a call came around 1:55 AM. Police were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn on Fairview Street, and police on the scene say that shots were fired. A portion of the parking lot was blocked off by police officers. No further details have been made available at this time.
