The Vestal Fire Department could be getting a new building to replace their currently out-of-date Station Four. The station, located on Bunn Hill Road on the Vestal Parkway, is over sixty years old and is quickly deteriorating. The department also says its outgrown the station, with equipment that no longer fits. Preliminary estimates for a new station have the cost at around $4.4 million, a price tag that includes demolition of the current station. Fire officials hope to be able to have groundbreaking in 2015, but the project will require public approval.
