As the weather warms up, the Candor community is looking to get ready for their annual Fourth of July festivities. This weekend will start the fundraising for the Independence Day celebration, when the Candor American Legion hosts a pork chop barbeque, yard sale, and antiques road show. The road show will feature appraisals by a representative from Bostwick Auctions at the cost of $5 per item and the yard sale will be featuring new and gently used items donated at the legion. The event runs from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday at the Candor American Legion on Spencer Road. Presale tickets for the barbeque are also available by calling 607-659-7395.
